The Trujillo 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon was the Best Cabernet Sauvignon at the 2024 SFIWC. The vineyard is in Rutherford in California’s Napa Valley. The SFIWC Judging Panel described the wine as featuring:
Aromas of pronounced blackberry, blackcurrant, and hints of vanilla on the nose. The wine is smooth and elegant on the palate, with ripe, well-integrated tannins and brisk acidity. It features rich dark fruits with layers of cassis, dark chocolate, and toasted oak. The finish is long and smooth, with lingering black fruit and spice notes.
